Christiana V. Photography & Design is led by Christiana Vasilas, a Greek-American, New York–based, award-winning travel photographer and designer. Photography has been her lifelong passion—one she first shared publicly in 2014 with her debut solo exhibition. In 2019, she formally founded and trademarked her company, continuing to refine her craft through nearly two decades of study under master photographers at NYU, National Geographic, Nikon USA, and Olympus USA.

Having traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe—always with camera in hand—Christiana seeks to uncover the authentic essence of every destination. Her striking use of contrast, light, and shadow captures not only the image but the emotion of each moment in time.

In 2022, two of Christiana’s photographs celebrating her beloved Greece were selected by The Art Collective – New York City Art Walk to appear on Times Square billboards in both August and December, following the success of her work in the 2021 Long Island City/Astoria Showcase. That same year, The Mediterranean Lifestyle named Christiana V. Photography & Design a premier Mediterranean small business three times.

In 2023, Christiana was invited to showcase her work at the official Greek Independence Day reception at the Consulate General of Greece in New York. Her unique perspective on photographing the Evzones—capturing not only their presence but the profound symbolism embodied in their service—resonated deeply with both dignitaries and the Evzones themselves as they viewed her work during the parade weekend. Moved by her vision, she received her first invitation to Athens to photo-document the Evzones on Oxi Day, capturing their official duties from sunrise to sunset, in all weather conditions.

Granted rare, behind-the-scenes access to a world few have seen, Christiana’s growing body of work seeks to reawaken the Hellenic spirit and honor Greece’s heroes—both for Hellenes and Philhellenes worldwide. Through her lens, she tells the story of the Evzones in the modern era, capturing their enduring guardianship of centuries-old traditions. Her photography frames them against iconic backdrops such as the Acropolis, the Athenian skyline, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Presidential Mansion, the Olympic Stadium, and abroad—marching through New York’s Canyon of Heroes, Fifth Avenue, and the St. Nicholas National Shrine at the World Trade Center.

In recognition of the profound honor of being welcomed behind the scenes, Christiana donated twelve works to the Office of the Commander of the Evzones, now on permanent display at their headquarters (not open to the public). Her photography has been selected by the Military Office of the President of Greece for the official 2024 Easter card, as well as the 2024 and 2025 Presidential Guard calendars, and has been prominently featured on the official website of the Presidency of Greece.

Her Evzone Collection has also served a philanthropic mission. Pieces from the series have been auctioned to raise significant funds for organizations including The Hellenic Initiative, Ronald McDonald House – Greek Division, The National Hellenic Museum, and the New York Greek Independence Day Parade. For three consecutive years, parade organizers have incorporated her photography into awards for honored guests and benefactors, as well as in promotional materials. Her work continues to inspire the Greek-American community, serving both as a testament to their lineage and an inspiration to the next generation of Evzones.

In March 2025, on the occasion of the 204th anniversary of Greek Independence, Christiana inaugurated The Modern Evzones – Guardians of Tradition exhibition at the Athens War Museum. The grand opening was attended by representatives of the Greek government, the Hellenic Armed Forces, current and former Evzones and their families, members of the maritime community, Greek-Americans, and Philhellenes from Greece and abroad.

Through this exhibition and her ongoing work, Christiana Vasilas continues to honor the Evzones—illuminating their legacy, amplifying their symbolism, and sharing their story with audiences worldwide.

​

Her fine art collections are held in public and private collections across the United States, Europe, and Australia. Visit Portugal, the nation’s official tourism board, recognized her as one of the top five photographers worldwide to capture the country’s beauty and history through imagery. Her trademarked prints have been featured by more than 30 international organizations, including Clarence Corinthia Hotel London, Downtown Alliance, Hedges Hamptons, and numerous hospitality and cultural partners.

Beyond her artistic achievements, Christiana’s work has raised thousands of dollars in support of charitable organizations throughout New York and beyond.
